Ordinary writing advice is not enough.
It’s good. And there’s a lot of it out there- on how to structure your story, excavate the theme, create cohesive narrative and character arcs, writing dialogue that pops off the page.
But it’s not enough. Because all it does is teach you how to write.
It doesn’t teach you how to thrive as a writer.
And no, I’m not talking about surviving the business. I’m talking about surviving the process.
Writing is lonely. We’re stuck in our heads for hours, processing thoughts that are too intimate to be said out loud and yet from a deep place within us are calling out for expression.
We’re scared of our thoughts. We’re intimidated by the form. And we’re unsure of our own abilities to execute.
How is a writer supposed to practice their craft and produce art when they have all these feelings going through them?
With support, of course. By having a hand holding you along the way. By having a sense of safety, from within and without.
And The Hero Belongs does exactly that.
It gives you the tools you need to build support and safety around you to once and for all put an end to the cloud of loneliness and fear that makes the writing process so un-nagivable.
It’s here to be your friend and help you make some too, within yourself and in the world around you.
So dive in, and know that the net will follow you. You’re in good hands.
